The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the Class 10 board results for 2020 on July 16, 2020. The board has announced that students should download the UMANG app to see their results or visit its official site, however, the UMANG app failed, and also the official website of the board crashed right before the declaration of the results.

Around 18 lakh students had appeared in the CBSE class 10 board exams in 2020 and were waiting for their results. The students as per the announcement by the CBSE had downloaded the UMANG App to see their results but right before the announcement of exams the app failed. Owing to the coronavirus lockdown, students are bound to stay at home for their safety from the deadly disease and do not have an option to visit the cyber cafes so the CBSE made the announcement to release the results on the apps like Digilocker and UMANG. But these apps proved to be a huge disappointment to the students.

As per the reports, the UMANG App was working fine in the morning, however as the time approached for the declaration of results, the app started running slowly and then stopped working. There was a direct link to check CBSE Class 10 results on the home page of the app. But this link also stopped working.

The app was aimed at helping students in checking their results and also in downloading the digital marksheet. The introduction of the apps like UMANG and Digilocker by the CBSE sets a new norm for the students amid the coronavirus crisis. The digital marksheet generated through the UMANG app would be signed by the officials and students can use them for future references.
